Job Overview

GoShopBlack is looking for Blog Contributors / Journalism Interns to help research, write, and support articles for the GoShopBlack blog.

This opportunity is a good fit for journalism students, communications students, writers, bloggers, or early-career content creators who want to build their portfolio while covering Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurship, community stories, culture, business spotlights, local events, and economic empowerment.

Writers will help create blog/news content for GoShopBlack, including business spotlights, founder stories, curated lists, community-focused articles, and short feature pieces.

This is a remote, contract-based opportunity. Writers are paid $20 per approved article. Articles must be original, accurate, readable, and aligned with GoShopBlack’s editorial direction before payment is issued.

AI writing tools may be used to assist with drafting, outlining, editing, or brainstorming. However, writers are responsible for fact-checking all information, verifying sources, avoiding plagiarism, and making sure the final article is accurate and publication-ready.

This is a good opportunity for someone who wants writing experience, published clips, and a chance to contribute to a growing platform focused on supporting Black-owned businesses.

Research article ideas related to Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurship, community stories, culture, local events, and business growth.

Write clear, original blog articles for the GoShopBlack website.
